Quo vadis komunikasi islam: menuju penyeimbangan nalar kritis dan pragmatis di tengah global village

Islamic communication (dakwah) that is currently in the midst of a global village requires a total reconstruction and redefinition of its existence through critical reflection. This article discusses how Islamic communication can balance between the critical and pragmatic reasoning amid global village in order to face the challenges of contemporary society. The writer argues that to make it happen, the reconstruction of Islamic communication needs to be placed in a well-ordered system by designing curriculum that emphasizes on students’ critical thinking and practical knowledge
