Abstract

The title of the study is “Surabaya Muslim Household Disharmony (Psychology Perspective Analysis)". The study focused on husband and wife disharmony, the pattern of intrapersonal and interpersonal spouses in fostering households. The background of the study, namely the increasing number of divorces Muslim households in Surabaya, and marital disharmony mentioned as the cause of the highest divorce rate. The formulation of research pro–blems: (1) how disharmony occurs in Muslim households? (2) what are the factors that determine the occurrence of domestic disharmony Muslim? (3) how the model of marital Muslims in addressing domestic disharmony? This study includes the type of qualitative research because the author tried to describe natural phenomena, holistic and meaning–full. The steps of research conducted through three stages, namely the pre-field, field work stage, and the stage of data analysis. The technique of collecting data is through inter–views, observation, and documentation. To test the credibi–lity of the data is done by; extension participation, triangula–tion, and peer checking. Data analysis was performed from the field through the steps; reduction data, compiled data in units, categorizing data, and interpretation of data.
